thanks for this episode, nice story, and, most of all, a very true and inspirational message. There's a lot to be learned from that for less life-threatening situations.

Hello Joe - thank you for another intelligent and informative podcast. I listen to many podcasts on my daily commute to work, and yours is one of the best - well produced and inspirational. Obviously a lot of thought and effort goes into producing the podcasts, and they are appreciated.

Hi Joe,
I just remembered my first solo and the story of myself flying pattern and realizing in second turn that the carburetor is freezing up...But successfully managing to land normally.

Hey Joe, great episode about the "Bear" and the incredible John Penny. I have seen him fly the bear at Reno many times, and save that aircraft in many emergency landings. John Penny and the Rare Bear is a legend that keeps adding a new chapter nearly every year. I am always thrilled to see that Bearcat fly, John Penny does a fantasic job in controlling that amazingly powerful aircraft. Thanks Joe for the great story and the capture of those critical moments of calmness in a deeeply stressful situation.
